How to Help

Ukraine Student Hope (USHP) was founded in 2009 as a 501C3 non-profit organization. It is run by a board of directors: Steffanie Rhinesmith, Karl Graddy, Amy Robinson, Nathan Ebert, Mark Gaydos, and Kristin Camp. You can help in many ways:

  • Become a prayer partner
  • Serve as a host family
  • Invest financially in support of families
  • Invest in scholarship funds
  • Donate to a specific student for ongoing education and housing needs

Kristin Camp - Executive Director

In 2007, Kristin and her family desperately wanted to help two young students, too old to be adopted; but soon aging out of the orphanage system in Ukraine. She prayed about ways to most effectively invest in their future. Kristin

She realized what these kids need most, besides a loving family, are practical life goals, education and marketable skills for success.

Blazing the trail where not many had gone before, and after many failed attempts, Kristin has become an expert on the US visa process in Ukraine. Her goal is to continue to not only raise awareness of this social change, but tp give these forgotten kids tangible ways to accomplish their dreams and empower their economy in Ukraine upon completion of their studies.

You will find Kristin in Ukraine several times a year, tirelessly working with her team in country and providing US host families a successful process.

Valery Dashevsky - Field Director

valery Valery partnered with USHP in 2009 after being recommended to Kristin by YWAM KYIV. Not only is he passionate about the fatherless children he comes to the table with thorough education and experience. He began at Trade University, Leningrad, USSR: Economist. Law Academy, St.Petersburg, Russia.: Lawyer. Pedagogical University, Kiev, Ukraine: English teacher. He is employed full time for USHP as well, is an independent attorney working with foreigners in Ukraine. Legal areas: temporary and permanent residency in Ukraine, legal support of Christian churches and missionary ministries in Ukraine, facilitation of international adoptions since 2003, volunteer work for orphanages since 2006.
